Saturday creative writing workshops are one day topics of interest for busy writers. Bring your own lunch. Coffee and tea available. Unless otherwise stated all workshops $50.00 members and $60 non-members and run from 10 am to 3:30 pm. Please enter by door #2

May 3 Be Your Own Best Editor - Rebecca Bradley
The course will address many common basic writing problems like grammar, syntax, register, "writing tics", dialogue format, repetition, adjectives, and structure. The workshop includes practical exercises, both individual and group, to spot and correct errors and infelicities.

May 17 Inspiration, Imagination, and Invention - Simon Rose
This workshop examines the path to publication, taking a look at the writing process from initial concept through to the finished manuscript, how to turn ideas into stories, the creation of outlines, editing and revision, researching publishers and the importance of marketing and promotion for authors, including websites, online marketing, dealing with the media, book launches, promotional events, securing speaking engagements and more. www.simon-rose.com

June 7 Haiku, Tanka and Haibun - Joanne Morcom
