February 13 Writing Erotica with Vivian Hansen
What are the secrets to placing well-written eros in your
writing? Whether you're a poet or prose writer, eros has
touched you creatively. We will critique some wonderful work
that is well-known for its erotic beauty, and explore some free
falling exercises. Please bring any of your own work to share
with the class. A great treat in preparation for Valentine's Day.

February 13: 10 am - 2 pm
February 20: 10 am - 12 pm.
A 2 Saturday workshop to promote inspiration through alternative forms of art. Personalize and glaze your own, bisque fired mug by creating decals from photographs or
printed words of inspiration. Bring walking shoes and a camera and stroll along the Bow River to capture winter scenes for your mug. You may wish to bring your own photos. Relax
and enjoy a day of hiking, painting, photography and discussion. Material Fees: $5
February 20 Storytelling - Presenting your Work in Public with Bob Laws Cancelled
Have you ever felt terrified of reading your work in public? Learn how
to choose what to read; how to prepare; tips on introduction,
delivery and closing; and promotion of your work. Make your
story part of a night to remember.
February 27 Dynamic Dialogue with Susan Calder
Dialogue is one of the strongest tools for portraying characters
in fiction and creative non-fiction. When do you use dialogue
in a story? What makes dialogue effective, interesting and full
of tension? How can dialogue move your story forward?
Through writing exercises, discussion and the study of
published works learn how to make your dialogue sparkle.
February 27 Signs Along the Way with Carolyn Pogue
Begin writing your life story from the perspective of spirit.
Through discussion, free-fall writing and other exercises, we
will explore the paths we have walked and the signposts that
have been our guides. We will draw on our own deep wells of
experience and the experiences of others. Participants will
mine hidden memories, sift recollections, explore ideas within
an empathetic group and create an autobiographical map from
which to continue writing
