is a place where you can meet other writers. We encourage you to take advantage of this network by becoming a voting member of the Society.

Our
Aim
is to help you develop your talent and bring it to public attention.
We offer you the opportunity to:
- receive a bi-monthly, informative Newsletter Alexandra Musings
- get a reduced rate on class fees
- read your work before an audience
- attend our weekly discussion groups
- submit work to AWCS manuscript critique service
- submit material to FreeFall magazine; enter the FreeFall Fiction & Poetry contest - deadline December 31
- use our reference library containing books and magazines on writing
- attend social events and meet fellow writers
- offer your talents as a volunteer with the Alexandra Writers.
- Alexandra Writers Monday Member Nights.
- Alexandra Writers Book Club
- Alexandra Writers Prose Critique Group
This is a brief outline of the many activities in which the Alexandra Writers are involved. Why not attend one of our readings? Or, watch for one of our Alexandra Cafés, Book Club discussions, Blue Pencil and Speaker sessions. Come and enjoy a relaxed few hours of reading, folk music, refreshments, and chat with fellow writers.
